FAQs

How do I pay?

Convey Point accepts VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express through a secure gateway using PayPal Payment Systems. Payment is processed using a high security SSL certificate.

If “Invoice” is selected as the payment method, Convey Point will send an invoice and payment must be received at least 10 business days prior to the start date of the class. If payment is not received, confirmation to attend class cannot be sent and future dates will be offered.

Established Convey Point clients may also pay with an authorized PO.  If you have questions, please contact us.

How do you apply hands-on training virtually?

Our virtual training environment features break-out labs and sessions. You will have the ability to log into a remote virtual classroom with all of the software and files you will need provided there. Through this easy-to-use environment, you will be able to complete labs, work collaboratively, get assistance from the instructor, and complete projects seamlessly.

How is the audio handled?

You can access the class audio either through a conference phone line or through VoIP using your computer. We will ship you a headset with microphone along with your course manual.

How will I know my computer is ready and compatible for virtual training?

To ensure a successful virtual training engagement, there are several requirements that need to be met. All of these can be tested prior to the start of your class to avoid any interruption or delay in your training. These requirements include:

Each student workstation must have access to the internet with sufficient bandwidth to conduct training (a min. of 128k per student)

Access to Convey Point remote resources must be verified prior to class from student location. There is a small plug-in loaded on the workstation when connecting to the remote PCs. This plug-in allows remote screen connectivity. Ability to use meeting software must be verified prior to class from student location. There is a small plug-in loaded on the workstation to enable the meeting software for virtual training.

Each student workstation must meet minimum hardware and browser specifications.

I don’t have a credit card, what are my options?

Convey Point can invoice you and will accept payment by check up to two weeks prior to the class start date.  If paying registration by check please mail checks to:

I don’t see the course I want to take in your class schedule, how do I request that course be scheduled?

For computer software training classes we highly recommend attendees have a 2 monitor setup to get the best experience from your course (laptop and external monitor in extended mode or desktop computer with 2 connected monitors in extended mode)

 

What if I have to cancel my registration?

Convey Point’s Cancellation Policy is as follows.

CANCELLATIONS / RESCHEDULES (by student)

15 or More Calendar Days before the Class  Student cancellation or reschedule requests received 15 calendar days or more before the class starts will be processed promptly.

Cancellation requests made in this timeframe are eligible for refund of any money on account for this specific registration.
Reschedule requests made in this timeframe will be accommodated if availability exists and will be processed at no additional charge.

14 or Less Calendar Days before the Class Student cancellation or reschedule requests made 14 calendar days or less before the class starts will be charged 100% the course fee. Additionally…

If a student wishes to change only his/her class location—maintaining original class date and course title/version—we may be able to accommodate if requested MORE THAN 5 BUSINESS DAYS before the start of the class. The student must Contact us(Monday-Friday) for a determination.  NOTE: These requests may be subject to an additional charge for provisions re-routing.

Students rescheduling or canceling within 14 days of the class may use our makeup policy to have the money on account applied to a later class date if available, but is not entitled to a refund on the original or subsequent class.

The student has one (1) opportunity to use our Make-Up policy to have those funds applied to a later class date.

 

Convey Point’s MAKE-UP POLICY
Students are permitted one (1) Make-Up opportunity to attend a class that was paid for, but not previously attended at no additional charge.

  • Make-Up class registrations are subject to availability, and are not entitled to refund.
  • You must contact us by email (Monday-Friday, 4:00pm EST) to schedule your Make-up class.
  • Students may not reschedule a Make-up class registration. Any no shows or cancellations forfeit their one Make-up opportunity. Additionally, Convey Point reserves the right to retire courses due to lack of demand. Retired classes are not available for Make-Up.
What is Convey Point’s Privacy Policy?

Convey Point values your privacy, and will not store your credit card information. Convey Point will retain your personal information (name, address, email, etc.) for internal uses and marketing only. Convey Point will never rent, sell, or lend this information to any third party.

What is included with my tuition?

Course materials will be shipped ground to all supplied student addresses approximately one week prior to the class start date. Additional charges may apply for international and express shipments when applicable.

What time do the classes run? Are there scheduled breaks?

Most day classes start at 10am Eastern Time (ET) and evening classes start at 6pm Eastern Time (ET) to accommodate students in all time zones. For day classes there are generally three breaks during the day; two 10-minute breaks and one 30 minute lunch-break. Evening classes generally have one 10-minute break per session. This may vary depending on the flow of the class and the discretion of the instructor.

Will I be able to ask questions and interact with the other participants?

Live Web Based Training is in a fully interactive training environment. You may question the instructor any time during the training by virtually raising your hand. Breakout sessions may be used for team exercises and assignments with other students. Text chat is available for private chat with the instructor or another student, or you can text chat with all participants. Convey Point believes interaction is key for a successful training session.
